Janata (weekly) was a newspaper started by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The first issue of this newspaper was published on 24th November. Published in 1930. Its editor was Devrao Vishnu Naik; After that Gangadhar Neelkanth Sahastrabuddhe became the editor of Janata. The public was initially fortnightly. It became a weekly in 1930.


By 1955, the JANTA were starting. The editing of this newspaper changed from time to time. At least there was irregularity but it lasted for many days. February 4 In 1956, the people were renamed as Prabuddha Bharata.
